We are delighted to announce that Shane Jamieson has accepted our invitation to become a Partner. Shane will be managing our Lerwick Office from 1st April.
Shane joined Arch Henderson in 2013 after graduating from Strathclyde University. While working, Arch Henderson supported him to complete a Masters in Civil Engineering and Project Management.
One of his first projects was the design of Mair's Quay before working as the Site Engineer at Dales Voe. He worked on a number of marine civil engineering projects in Lerwick before moving down to the Aberdeen office on secondment. After that, he spent three years in our Southampton office and became a Chartered Engineer in 2019. He moved back home to Shetland in 2020 and a year later became an Associate. He is currently the project manager for Scapa Deep Water Quay in Orkney.
Shane's succession is timely due to Andy Sandison's decision to step down from the Partnership. Shane has developed a wealth of civil engineering and project management experience and qualifications and has the energy and passion required to take on the responsibility.
Andy Sandison will continue to work for Arch Henderson as a Senior Engineering Consultant, so we will still benefit from his knowledge and expertise for a few years to come.
